Career Pathways

The U.S. Department of Education has divided all of the career options into 16 Clusters. The Career Clusters are listed below. The information on each career cluster can act as a road map for students, parents and educators. Students and parents are shown the basic skills and competencies that are required for employment in certain industries. Students can learn about careers on their own by following the steps given. Educators can also utilize the Career Pathways to help guide students in the right direction in order to fulfill certain requirements needed for higher education or for immediate employment once they have graduated. With the help of these models, students are more likely to stay on the right path and achieve their post high-school graduation goals.
