About the Website

This website was designed to provide students, parents, and teachers with the most updated education/job market information to provide an understanding of various careers, and suggested educational pathways for entering those careers.  The site also provides teachers with career related curriculum development resources.

For students, we hope to help you with the decision making process as you explore options and learn about the requirements of various careers. The references on this site will help you investigate career goals, and create a plan for achieving them. You will find help in identifying appropriate high school courses fundamental to your career pathway,  post high school educational programs that will prepare you, career options, job market information including high demand occupations, and how to get involved in testing out these choices through job shadowing, internships and cooperative education.

For educators, we hope this site will provide resources to give you and your students a better understanding of career pathways, and make connection between classroom material  and the post-graduation world your students will soon enter. The classroom support materials will deal with labor market needs and trends, job seeking/keeping skills, and career planning. The website also provides links to curriculum materials, professional development opportunities and a discussion forum to connect with other teachers.
